Real Ale Pubs

If you appreciate real ale then this category is for you. If you’ve never tried real ale then it’s about time you did.

Even if you tried real ale and didn’t like it, keep trying different ales because the wonderful thing about ale is that there are such a huge variety of flavours to choose from.

Real ales vary in strength too. A strong, dark winter ale will often contain over 6% alcohol. A light summer ale can be as low as 3% (very refreshing).

By real ale we mean “cask-conditioned” beer which has been made from traditional ingredients and allowed to mature naturally. No short cuts!

For your convenience we have pulled together a list of other websites where you can find some very detailed information about real ale.
